Overview

Colcoor helps users organize AI-assisted learning and research conversations into structured trees. This policy explains what information we may collect when you use connected Colcoor services, how we use it, and how to contact us about privacy questions.

Local mode

In local mode, Colcoor stores conversation data under the current workspace on your machine and does not require a Colcoor backend or sign-in. Local-mode conversation content is not sent to Colcoor servers by the storage layer. Provider APIs you configure separately, such as Anthropic, Cursor, or Gemini, may still receive prompts and related content according to those providers' terms.

Information we may collect

When you use connected Colcoor services, we may collect account details, contact information, workspace or extension metadata, conversation structure, user-authored notes, collaboration data, usage metrics, and technical logs needed to run and secure the service.

Conversation data

Connected mode may process and store conversation-related data so the product can provide branching, resuming, collaboration, Lists, and related features. Private or self-managed deployments can be arranged for teams that need the backend to run in their own environment.

How we use information

We use information to provide connected services, maintain accounts, support collaboration, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and communicate about access, support, or product updates.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate Colcoor, when required by law, or as needed to protect the service and its users. Private deployment terms may define additional customer-specific handling.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by connected services. We retain such data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security.

Your choices

You can contact us to ask questions, request access, or request deletion of information associated with a connected Colcoor account, subject to security, backup, legal, and operational limits. Local-mode data remains under your control in the workspace storage.
